Fund the Education That Helps Veterans Navigate Care on Their Own Terms

Mendry is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated entirely to education. We help veterans, families, and providers understand state-legal, medical-cannabis–aligned care — with particular focus on chronic pain, chronic disease, and PTSD — without ever entering clinical advice, product promotion, or Protected Health Information. Every dollar from a sponsor goes directly to building and sustaining that educational infrastructure.

Why Your Sponsorship Matters

Mendry fills a specific and persistent gap: veterans living with chronic pain, chronic disease, or PTSD often seek state-legal, non-opioid alternatives and encounter a landscape of conflicting signals, unclear VA boundaries, and scarce plain-language guidance. Mendry exists to close that clarity gap — producing neutral, state-aware educational content that connects veterans with accurate information so they can have better, more informed conversations with their licensed providers.

Sponsors fund identifiable deliverables: state pages launched or refreshed, Education Pods hosted, guides downloaded, veterans reached in priority communities. Our quarterly dashboards document what was funded and what was delivered. If you have ever wondered whether a nonprofit contribution is producing something measurable, Mendry is structured to answer that question specifically and honestly.

The Veteran You Are Supporting

A typical Mendry beneficiary is a veteran managing a long-term condition — chronic pain following a service-related injury, a mental health diagnosis, a chronic disease requiring ongoing care — who has encountered the edges of what the VA’s clinical settings can offer and is trying to understand what state law permits, what outside-of-VA care pathways look like, and what questions to bring to a licensed clinician. The confusion is not hypothetical. Rules vary by state; federal constraints remain in place; and VA’s clinical boundaries are frequently misunderstood by veterans and providers alike.

Mendry does not recommend cannabis products, certify clinicians, provide dosing guidance, collect Protected Health Information, or act as a HIPAA-covered entity. We raise literacy. Learn more about our mission →

Back podcasts, newsletters, provider primers, and toolkits. Recognition includes credits on series pages and in quarterly dashboards with your contribution reflected in deliverables.

Tier 4

Under $1,000

Help keep core education free and accessible, especially for rural and underserved communities. Recognition includes listing on our supporters’ wall and year-end thank-you communications.

All sponsorship levels receive standard 501(c)(3) acknowledgment for tax purposes. Sponsorship does not create any arrangement affecting editorial content, listings, or clinical guidance. Recognition scales with level; gratitude is equal.

Category Caps Apply

We limit the number of sponsors in each category per quarter. This protects the credibility of our content and ensures meaningful recognition — not a crowded logo wall — for every partner who invests in the mission.

What Your Sponsorship Makes Possible

Mendry operates four interconnected programs. Every sponsored dollar advances one or more of these directly:

State Guides & Education Pods

We build plain-language, state-aware guides and host neutral workshops that explain the legal landscape, risks, and alternatives to long-term opioid use — without dosing guidance or product promotion. Education Pods (both live and virtual) equip veterans and caregivers to ask better questions and understand care boundaries in their specific state and within their VA Community Care pathway.

Provider Medical Care Primers

Many osteopathic physicians and other licensed clinicians support whole-person care for veterans. Our provider primers help them communicate clearly about what state law permits, how VA Community Care coordination works, and what activities remain prohibited within VA settings. This protects both the provider and the veteran and reduces the confusion that leads to avoidable delays in care.

Veterans Tool Kit

Checklists, conversation guides, and expectation-setting templates reduce avoidable delays and make clinical appointments more productive — especially for chronic pain, chronic disease, and PTSD. These resources are available at no cost, without registration, and are optimized for accessibility in low-connectivity and rural environments.

Impact Micro Grants

Where education gaps are largest, Mendry provides small grants to vetted, veteran-serving nonprofits to localize and deliver neutral, state-aware learning. We prioritize reach in the largest veteran hubs — Texas, California, Florida, North Carolina, and Virginia — while serving veterans nationwide through digital content and on-demand modules.

Geographic and Programmatic Designation

Sponsors at the State Spotlight Partner level and above may designate contributions for specific geographic regions — for example, new state pages for Virginia or refreshed content for Texas veteran communities — or programmatic priorities such as podcast production, a specific Education Pod series, or microgrant funding. Designated funds are tracked and reported separately in each partner’s quarterly impact briefing.

Brand Safety by Design

Mendry’s brand safety architecture is deliberate, not incidental. The following commitments are structural, not aspirational:

Education-Only Boundaries

Mendry does not sell products, offer discount codes, provide dosing advice, or make health claims. We do not collect PHI and are not a HIPAA-covered entity. Your brand is never adjacent to clinical promises.

Neutral Placement

Recognition — our “Veteran Supporter” mark — appears on program pages, state spotlights, podcasts, and newsletters, never adjacent to product claims or endorsements of any kind.

Editorial Independence

Sponsors fund the mission; they do not shape clinical content or influence listings. That firewall is non-negotiable and protects the credibility of veterans and ensures brand safety for every partner.

Separation from VeteransDesk.org

Mendry covers medical cannabis education only. Our sister platform VeteransDesk.org remains entirely cannabis-free, focusing on VA Community Care navigation, ensuring both brands hold clear, non-overlapping mandates.

What Sponsors Will Never Be Asked to Do

You will never be asked to endorse cannabis products. Your logo will never appear next to dosing claims, clinical promises, or product promotions. We do not run affiliate codes, giveaways, or campaigns tied to cannabis products, and we do not accept funding that would condition or steer editorial outcomes.

Impact Micro Grants Program

Community Education Initiative

Mendry · Nationwide, Priority: TX · CA · FL · NC · VA

The Impact Micro Grants Program represents the most direct translation of sponsorship into community benefit. Where veteran education gaps are most acute — often in rural counties, underserved communities, and states with the highest veteran populations — Mendry identifies and vets local nonprofit partners best positioned to deliver neutral, state-aware education locally. Grants are small by design, enabling broad reach and rapid deployment.

Program Deliverables Funded by Sponsors

  • Micro-grants to vetted veteran-serving nonprofits for local education delivery
  • State-aware plain-language guides for priority geographies
  • Education Pod hosting (live and virtual) in rural and underserved counties
  • Localized checklists and conversation guides in accessible formats
  • Geographic equity reporting across rural reach and underserved communities

“The goal is simple: no veteran should be left guessing about the rules, the risks, or the pathways available to them when exploring legal, compliant options for chronic pain, chronic disease, or PTSD alongside their VA Community Care pathway.”

How We Prove Impact

Mendry reports on outcomes sponsors can verify independently. Our reporting covers three categories:

Metrics We Track and Report

Sample Outcomes We Track

01

Launch or refresh of state pages prioritized by veteran population size and education gap, beginning with Texas, California, Florida, North Carolina, and Virginia.

02

Education Pods delivered and measured participant confidence gains (pre/post) on understanding of state-legal care boundaries and VA Community Care pathways.

03

Growth in guide downloads and time-on-page for chronic pain, chronic disease, and PTSD educational content.

04

Geographic equity indicators including rural reach, underserved county penetration, and digital access rates for low-connectivity communities.

05

Microgrants issued and documented deliverables from partner nonprofits providing local, neutral education in high-priority states.

Governance That Reduces Risk

Mendry is veteran-led and advised by compliance-focused professionals. We publish our policies openly, enforce strict disclaimers across all content, review every piece for accuracy and neutrality, and maintain documented procedures for conflict of interest review and content takedown. Funds are reinvested entirely into neutral education and community benefit. These measures lower reputational, regulatory, and brand safety risk for every organization that partners with us.

Begin a Conversation

Sponsorship inquiries can be directed to sponsor@mendry.org. Our team will respond within five business days to schedule a brief introductory call, share the sponsorship prospectus, and discuss the geographic and programmatic priorities most relevant to your organization. We are happy to provide our IRS Form 990, our Donor Privacy Policy, and specific examples of how prior sponsorship has translated into educational reach.

Mendry is not an abstraction. It is a small, veteran-led organization that decided this specific education gap — the gap between a veteran managing chronic pain and the clear, accurate, state-aware information they need to make informed decisions with their licensed clinician — was worth closing. Your sponsorship determines how far that work can reach and how many veterans can benefit.
